Recruitment is an experience that you will remember for a lifetime, and it is the best way to get a first hand look at what the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Greek Life has to offer! Our chapter has been recognized on a national level for excellence in recruitment, and it is truly our favorite time of the year! The Theta Phi Chapter of Sigma Kappa is comprised of amazing young women, who together form our strong sisterhood. Each woman contributes to our campus involvement through leadership, scholarship and philanthropic opportunities. Our values of friendship, service, personal growth, and loyalty are lived wholeheartedly our members, which you will be able to see not only during recruitment week, but 365 days a year.
Fall 2018 Formal Recruitment
Go Greek Round- August 14-15
During Round 1, you'll learn about the great benefits of sorority life here at UT Chattanooga through the voices of the sorority women themselves! You'll learn about the great personal growth opportunities, involvement on campus, academic and support resources and so much more!
Sisterhood Round- August 16
During Round 2 of Recruitment, you'll learn more about the aspect of sisterhood, how a sorority serves as a guide and resource throughout the college experience.
Preference Round- August 17
During Round 3 of Recruitment, you will have more in-depth and intimate conversations with sorority women about their organization and experiences.
You will visit a maximum of 2 chapters on this day. At the end of round three, you will be asked to indicate which sorority you would like to receive an invitation to membership from in preference order.
Bid Day/ Running out the Doors- August 18
At Running out the Doors, you will receive an invitation to membership from one of our six organizations on campus. You have the option to accept or deny the invitation at that time. Those who accept will complete one of our biggest traditions and you will be reunited with the sorority in which you have chosen to join.
